XXIV. International scientific conference of bachelor´s and master´s degree students was held 23th April 2026 Nitra, Slovakia. Three DAFM students, currently at 2nd year of study programme at Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. They presented following abstracts: Noor Fatima WASEEM Acorns as a health-promoting ingredients for production of innovative beverages Stella Portia MENSAH Nutritional, phytochemical, sensory and consumer assessment of okara-enriched granola, oral Hannington KAJURA Microbiological analysis of honeys of different origins, oral Participation in the conference was excellent experiences for students and opportunity to develop themselves. After their presentation they addressed to many questions from the other participants. In general, students were very good evaluated by the organising committee.

On April 24th, 2026 two DAFM students participated in 92th International scientific conference of young scientist and students "Youth scientific achievements to the 21st century nutrition problem solution". They presented online following abstracts:

Application deadline of non- EU applicants has been passed.
All the applications are now prescreened and will be evaluated soon. Results and notifications expectable at the end of the week. Interviews will be held on 10th of March for every chosen applicant, information about the schedule will be shared at the latest on 6th of March. The DAFM project was presented during Christmas Research Innovation Street@UNSFA event, held at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture on December 22, 2025.
This event gathered over 150 participants and 38 international R&Dprojects. Visitors could disseminate project results, exchange valuable ideas and experiences among various project teams. Students had an opportunity to talk to the DAFM UNS team in person, ask different questions and to get detailed information on the programme and its curriculum. During the networking session, participants played games and spent quality time together in the festive atmosphere. On January 13, 2026, DAFM students participated in a series of expert lectures delivered by distinguished professors from Serbian universities. Prof. Milivoj Radojčin (University of Novi Sad) presented topics on Introduction to Fruit Drying and Thermodynamics of Moist Air, providing insights into drying technologies and fundamental process principles. Prof. Aleksandra Djukić-Vuković (University of Belgrade) delivered lectures on Biorefinery Concepts and Production of Bio-based Chemicals from Lignocellulose and Lactic Acid Fermentation for Processing of Food Industry By-products, highlighting sustainable approaches and innovative biotechnological solutions. The lectures enriched students’ knowledge and strengthened the link between academic research and practical applications in food and bioprocess engineering. The DAFM Consortium is happy to announce that the new call will be opened on the 15 January, 2026. For this new intake no Erasmus Mundus Scholarships are available! The call is open for self funded applicants.
