This conference was organized 11 – 12 April 2024 by National University of Food Technologies in Kiev, Ukraine (https://conference.nuft.edu.ua/young/index.html). Three students presented results of their study – 1. Bint e Hawa: A comparative analysis of nutritional composition and bioactive properties between edible larval and adult mealworms. 2. Jawa Hassan: Determination of nutritional properties and biological activity of some traditional Syrian sweets. 3. Emmanuel Duah Osei: Phytochemical composition of Coffea canephora Pierre ex a. Froehner from Ghana. Participation in the conference was excellent experiences for students and opportunity to develop themselves. After their presentation they addresed to many questions from the other participants. In general, students were very good evaluated by the organising committee.

On April 18th, 2024. five DAFM study program students participated in XXII. INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE OF BACHELOR’S AND MASTER’S DEGREE STUDENTS (https://svk.fbp.uniag.sk/program-programme), which was organised by Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. In section Control and Safety of Food Chain Emmanuel Duah Osei presented the results with topic Bio-chemical and organoleptic profile of roasted and unroasted Coffea canephora Pierre ex A. Froehner and Shahid Ali Tahir with topic Variability of the content of risk metals, total content of polyphenols and antioxidant activity in legumes grown in Piešťany locality. In section Innovations and Trends in the Food Technology presented results Anthony Amotoe-Bondzie with topic Characterization of soy curd residue and full-fat soy flour as protein-based food ingredients, Jawa Hassan with topic Nutritional and antioxidant profile of some traditional Syrian confectionery and Bint e Hawa with topic Edible insects as a perspective alternative food source for future. Participation was also very successful experience, since Anthony Amotoe-Bondzie won the second place for the best presentation and Emmanuel Duah Osei won the award for best scientific work with practical application. We congratulate to students and wish them successful participation in further conferences as well as in their scientific life.

<![CDATA[Joint event at mate, hungary]]>Thu, 21 Mar 2024 12:24:29 GMThttp://agrifoodmaster.eu/news/joint-event-at-mate-hungaryDAFM first year university - MATE and coordinator of DAFM program has hosted the joint event which took place in Gödöllő, Hungary, on March 11th and 12th, 2024. All first-year students from both universities (MATE and CZU) attended the event, as well as representatives from all partner universities. The program included interesting lectures, workshops, and a tour of the MATE University. DAFM students had the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange their experiences about their studies within the program. Additionally, the event provided an excellent opportunity for students to network with representatives from the second-year university where they will continue their studies in the next academic year.

On March 18, 2024 all selected candidates have received an offer
 17 candidates were offered a scholarship
 17 candidates were offered a tuition fee seat

We would like to thank all applicants for choosing DAFM program and we would like to encourage them to apply next year.
Next call for our fourth intake will be open in November, 2024.

​For the 2nd round of the selection procedure, the Selection Committee has invited 60 non-EU candidates for the online interview process.
A reserve list of 15 candidates has been created as well, in case the Selection Committee is not satisfied with the academic knowledge and or English level of the selected candidates, or if some candidates for any reason will not complete the interview.
​The interviews will take place between 23rd and 27th February, the alternate interviews if any from 28/29th February.
Candidates with the best related study fields, best CGPA's, best international language certificates (mostly C1 level) with high motivation, publications, excellent references and well-written and interesting Europass CV's have been selected.
We believe that the competition got even higher than we experienced in the first and the second intake. Especially for the top-sending countries, from with only very few applicants have been selected, since we can only have max 3 candidates per nationality, per intake.
All non-selected applicants will be informed in the following days.

We would like to inform you that all applications have been pre-screened for formal and academic requirements as well.

Those applicants, who have applied from top sending countries such as Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Ghana, Ethiopia etc.), have been screened even further, since due to the 10% rule, only max 3 applicants per nationality can be accepted per intake.
Therefore, applicants with the best CGPA scores and best international language exam scores have been selected from these countries for further evaluation.
 
Please be aware, that there is no possibility to hand in any required document(s) (passport, reference, language examination results etc.) after the deadline.
Only the documents that have been submitted have been and will be considered.

  • at least 20 of selfpayers

the DAFM Selection Committee has decided to limit your answer for the three motivational questions in the application procedure 2023/2024 to 600 CHARACTERS!
It is not an essay. Should you upload a motivational letter as a document, please be aware that it will not be considered. 
Also, emails, asking for clarification regarding the lenghts will not be answered. Follow the given instructions.
IMPORTANT: Please read our Application Guide very carefully, before you write an email.
