Selection of programme and partner country applicants

All valid applications will be then divided into two groups: Programme or Partner country applications.
  • Programme Countries are countries within the EU
  • Partner Countries are all other countries

These two groups will be evaluated separately, as the applicants are not competing with each other.
Please note that a maximum of 2 applicants from the same nation can receive a scholarship according to the Erasmus Mundus rules so it is not efficient to assess all applications received from the same country if there are many applications.
Therefore, countries from where more than 15 applications are received are put aside in order to make a pre-selection of the best applicants only (between 5 and 10).
The pre-selection of the 5 to 10 best applicants per country is based on academic excellence and language skills. The pre-selected applicants are then assessed out of 100 according to the criteria detailed in the Scoring table 1.
Unfortunately the the rest of the applications of the same country will be put on the non-selected list without evaluation.
All other applicants from countries with less than 15 applicants will be assessed based on the criteria in Scoring Table 1:

In the end of step 2, the Selection Board will receive two lists, one for the programme and one for the partner groups. Since the DAFM programme is an excellence programme of the Europen Union, only applicants who score at least 75 points will be pre-selected. However, due to the high interest shown in our programme, each for the first intake pre-selected 90-100 applicants scored more than 80 points in this first round.
All other applicants will be put on the non-selected list.
